I have a 1997 S-10 with 198000 miles on it. For the last month it will start and then then just die as if it ran out of fuel. It will restart though. Sometimes it starts just fine but the engine revs. It may run fine one time but not the next. Just this last week it would start and then die everytime I slowed down at a stop sign. There are also times that there is nothing rong with it at all. I took it to a mechanic and he put his code machine on it and said he didn't come up with anything and he had no trouble with it all. He says it is not the fuel pump because if it was it wouldn't start at all.
