Electrical problem
1998 Chevy Metro

Recently, when moving my aftermarket radio around in the dash, it shorted. I went to the fuse box to make sure, and sure enough, there was a burned up fuse. So I replaced what was a 30 with a 25(watt) and went back in my car to make sure all the wires were properly taped. So then turned the car on, and now my radio will not come on at all, no lighting, nothing. Also my interior light will not work, the one above me in the driver's seat. Everything else works fine, and none of the other fuses are blown. Lastly, once this happened, upon driving, my check engine light has been on, but AutoZone cannot get a read on it. The guy said it may have screwed up my entire electrical system. Any help!

Do you

Sounds like you shorted out the input power circuit to the ignition switch
