MY 2001 MALIBU RAN OUT OF GAS WHEN I FILLED THE TANK AND TRIED TO RESTART MY CAR IT WOULDNT START AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG

You will need to get the air out of the fuel lines. To do this, cycle your ignition key to the ON position (don't crank). Leave it there for 10 seconds then turn it back to OFF. Do this several times then try cranking to start. Also replacement of the fuel filter is recommended since it most likely picked up a lot of contaminents when running out of fuel.
