2000 Chevy Malibu Gas leaking from a hose under the hood

Smelled gas in the car after starting it, checked under the hood & found gas had leaked from what looked like a vacuum hose. I was told it's a pressure release valve. What caused this? Is it expensive to replace? Is the car still driveable?

I was told it's a pressure release valve.
***It is actually fuel pressure regulator***

What caused this?
***Age, mileage.***

Is it expensive to replace?

Is the car still driveable?
***Gas smell in the cabin, leaking fuel onto a hot engine surface..,umm, hmm. I wouldn't . What do you think?***
