The left front ball joint needs to be replaced and I need to know how to remove the old one.

Here are diagrams below with instructions so you can replace the lower ball joints. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Popping noise when turning sharp inspection of ball joints step by step replacement.
Also clicking noise right front wheel, wheel bearing or CV shaft.
Replaced both last year.

Welcome to the forum, I tried to post the information, did not work. Autozone.com has free information. You will have to register your vehicle, it is free. Then in the parts search box, upper right, type in ball joint, the next page that comes up in the right column is link for removal of ball joint.
