I have to crank the engine over sometimes as many as 20 times until it stays running, and it is necessary to turn off the ignition between tries or it will not fire. It seems to be "sucking air". (I have had the fuel system checked out and it seems to be OK.)

Occasionally the engine will die while I am driving, also.
