Smoking stalling Camry

It started stalling and smoking white smoke at red lights and surging down the highway. We took it to Toyota and they diagnosed the #1 fuel injector. My husband replaced all fuel injectors, 02 sensor, spark plugs, fuel filter, and air filter. Did not fix problem. We also noticed when we unplug the middle fuel injector the car runs fine, plug it back in and it chokes again.

My husband thought he should replace the engine wiring harness because he thinks a wire is grounding out.

Instead took it to another repair shop. Said they just cleaned off the connector I previously mentioned. Ran fine for a few days. Same problem again.

What could the problem be? :Shock: :shock:

Ok, I heard my dad said maybe the engine is too old and inside the engine is leaking air.
