In either configuration of V6, it calls for power steering pump pulley removal early in the steps of removal. It does not say why, and the illustration is not detailed enough to show. Removal of the pulley requires the use of a removal tool. I would check a rental store, or a parts store that rents hand tools. It is probably a fairly common request.
