I have a 350 SBC motor that I recentlly replaced oil pan, intake, valve covers, cam, ect.
Never touched my oil pump, for it is all new.
motor was fine before. Now I start up the car, and if I rev it up to high rpm's, it will blow out the oil filter ring, and I have actually broken 2 cast aluminum adapters so far! I see it may be the oil pump relief valve? Is the relief valve in the pump, or the valve on the adapter where oil filter screws on?
This has got me stumped! 67 Chevelle SS
have the same problem?
