I've got a '96 Corsica 3.1L that was given to me. The car ran fine until 2 weeks ago. It died after taking off from a stop, and hasn't started yet. I checked the codes, and the only one was for the CMP. Today, I changed the CMP and it's still the same. There are now no codes, I have spark, I have fuel pressure, and I have compression. When I crank it, there is usually one backfire in the intake and then it cranks fine, but the exhaust smells of raw fuel. I'm getting confused. Where should I look next?
