I have a 2003 Chevy Cavalier. It seems at random times the speedometer will not go back to zero when the car is stopped or turned off. For example, I will be driving at 55 mph and the speedometer will read 90 miles an hour. I will come to a stop and the speedometer will stay at 35. The only way to drop the speedometer is to start the car and turn it right off. This will drop the speedometer only by 5. I can also disconnect one of the connections on the battery and it resets to zero.
Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong before I bring it to the shop? Thanks.
have the same problem?
