I have an '87 cavalier with a 4 cyl. And the A/C compressor has locked up. Car starts fine when you remove the belt but will hardly even turn over because of bad A/C unit. If it was an older car with multiple belts I could just remove the A/C belt and be fine.
Can you use a belt for a non-A/C motor to bypass bad unit so car is still drivable, or do they use a completely different pulley set-up.
have the same problem?
