Engine Cooling problem
1992 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 222, + miles

want to wire fan to toggle switch than to battery. So I can turn the fan on and off when needed. I can, t travel through town without it over heating at each light. The fan is set to come on at 200degrees and off at 195degrees. I put in new sensor, relay, fan and thermostat. It still get hot fast at red lights. Please show a diagram of the way to wire. I have tried several different ways and still can't get it right. Burnt up three sets of wire so far. The switch doesn't turn the fan off. Thanks Judith

This what you do-Find the black and red wire from fan motor cut 3 inches away from it. Now splice in and take the wire to the toggle switch then from the switch to the battery positive post- also you might want to review circuitry below before you do that-
