Engine Performance problem
1998 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 40,000 miles
the car drives PERFECT when I drive regular and up to about 40% throttle. Whenever I give it more than that the car seems to hestitate and shakes really bad and I start to hear numerous pops from the muffler and will not really pick up any speed at all unless I let off the gas a little. This even happens on hard acceleration from a stop but like I said it drives PERFECT and idles PERFECT if im driving regular. Problem only occurs ONLY when I give it more than 40% throttle! I just changed my fuel filter so thats not it. I even had taking it to auto zone for code testing but they didnt get any reading what so ever and say change my fuse. Im not sure he cut the computer off or bypass it (if thats possible) or if its acutally just a fuse. But I know the person I bought the car from did a couple of modifications such as removal of egr, LT headers, gutted cats slp lid. Car has 40,000 miles also. Please help! Thanks!
