My 1996 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4.3L Vortec is acting up again. It has 150,000 on it and was overhauled at 90,000 due to a wrist-pin failure in the engine.
I just had the breaks services and calipers/breakpad replace 1 month ago. Shortly after I noticed a hiss as I pushed on the pedal. It has gotten worse to the point that, to break I have to push extremely hard on it to stop the vehicle from moving. Now when I am holding down on the break and it is hissing at a stop light the engine acts like it wants to die. I checked the break fluid and it is full. Can you lend me any advice? I am afraid my breaks are going to go out on me and I wont be able to stop in the crazy Seattle traffic! Thanks!
