Steering problem
2002 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 72000 miles

I was told recently that I would have to eventually replace my idler arm. Today I noticed a slight increase in difficulty in turning the wheel and then tonight I noticed when I took my foot off of the brake, the car stopped in its tracks, almost like a go cart would. I am supposed to take a two hour trip in the morning with my two daughters. Am I okay to drive the car?

What you described is not an idler arm issue and would have it looked at before the trip as you may have a brake issue
