Engine problem
1998 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 130000 miles

I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer with 130,000 miles that turns over, but takes six or seven times to start when cold. Sometimes more. And lately it doesn't want to start at all when cold. When and if it does start, the engine sounds like it pops or backfires in the process. I got a new fuel pump about nine months ago. It starts fine when warm and runs fine once started. Could it be fuel filter? Air filter? Other? Help!
