1997 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 70000 miles
Hi I have a 97 chevy blazer. When I hit the brakes its very hard to stop. The brake pedal acts like it doesnt want to go down. It goes done slowly, and I here a hissing sound when I press the brake. Also when im sitting in one spot and I hold the brake down while the truck is in drive I hear the hissing sound. The truck starts to act like it wants to stall out. Rpm's drop from 1000 to under 500 rpm and then jump back up to idle. It cont' as to do that as long as I hold the brake down. If I dont hold the brake down she just sits and idles correctly. I had to get brake lines to past inspection in nov of 09. Custom brake lines ran from the front to the rear both sides. I changed the brake pads in the front before they did the custom job. Also I had to put a new front right rotor on. The shop did that. She worked fine from nov until about a week ago then the truck started to act like this. Any solutions? I also tried to bleed the brakes earlier today. I got a consistent squirt when I pushed the brake down. Still kind of stiff though.
have the same problem?
