Noises problem
1997 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 160k miles

When I accelerate, I hear a loud squeak from the drivers side rear. Sounds like metal on metal. When I take my foot off the accelerator, it stops.

Is this a U-Joint or brake problem?

If it is the U-Joint, does a 97 blazer have a zirk fitting to grease? What is the recommendations?

If it is a u joint I would suggest just replacing it. Remove the drive shaft and see if it is tight.
