I hope you guys can help me out. I have a '93 S10 Blazer w/a V6 Vortec engine. For the past few days I have been smelling gas fumes in my exhaust which obviously means it's running rich. I'm actually only getting 5-6 mpg. I have been told by a few people that it is either the fuel pressure regulator, fuel injectors or fuel pump but I thought i'd ask you guys before I go pouring money into parts I don't need. It is also acceling badly. If I am at a complete stop, I can put my foot all the way to the floor and I barely move forward until I get to about 15-20 mph then it takes off. It's also idleing rough. I hope all of these symptoms help you come out with a solution.

Hi there,

Your problem can be caused by a few different things. I would first get a scan done, and see what that shows. Then a fuel rail pressure test, this will help identify a leaking injector. Start here.
