1961 Chevy Bel Air V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual
I have a 56 Chevy BelAir. I replaced the heater core and everything works okay, but I wondered if I have the heater hoses hooked up to the wrong sides. There are two copper tubes that come thru the firewall and on one of the tubes is incorporated the valve opening for when you push the lever inside, it opens up for the coolant to enter. The problem is, that when I open the lever for the coolant and get the RPM's up, there is a sound in the system that is hard to describe (probably sounds like something going around on a wheel and grinding in one spot). But, when I shut the coolant off to the heater core, it stops. Probably should just switch hoses, huh, and see if that works?
have the same problem?
