MY 2000 CHEVY ASTRO VAN, (6CYL, 70,000-MILES), WONT START. IT WAS LOW ON FUEL AND HAD BEEN PARKED FOR TWO WEEKS.I HAD AN ALARM SYSTEM PUT IN 2 MONTHS AGO AND UNTIL NOW IT HAD NO PROBLEM. I NOTICED SOMETHING WRONG WHEN MY REMOTE WOULDNT UNLOCK THE DOORS. WHEN I WENT TO TURN IT ON IT DIDNT EVEN MAKE A CLICKING NOISE AND NOTHING ELSE TURNS ON. WITHIN THE LAST YEAR I REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND THE BATTERY HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY TESTED AND IN GOOD CONDITION. SHOULD I PUT SOME GAS IN IT AND TRY PASSING CURRENT FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE? I JUST HOPE IT ISN'T THE STARTER. WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST?

Do you
have the same problem?

Sounds like your alarm system has an ignition kill feature, and it works! See if you can find the valet switch and switch it!
