After some work done on my rack & pinion by someone else, a couple of days later I noticed that my defroster was not blowing warm air to windshield. On the top wire harness that is pinned to the engin compartment firewall, I found a loose wire connector dangling (a little left center, toward passenger side). The wire lead comming out of the center of the harness is about 12 inches long and the end connector is about 2 1/2 iinches long and 1/3 inches wide, holding only five wires (two unused spots). I've looked everywhere for where this could plug in but can't find any place on the firewall or elsewhere to plug it in! I do not think it is a diagnostic hookup either. I've not yet gotten under the engin to see if there is another loose lead into which it may plug. Any idea of what this is used for or where it plugs in?
