2002 Cadillac Escalade V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic 82000 miles
My rear wheels were getting really hot and smelled burnt and I was told that it's a problem with the emergency brake at a local auto shop. I had it repaired, but still the same thing happens. Also, after the repair, it seems like the emergency brake is not working properly. When you press it, it goes straight to the floor and doesn't seem to be engaging at all. Not to mention, the car keeps rolling forward when the emergency brake is supposedly on. Can anyone please tell me what might be the problem? This is really frustrating since my brake is in worse condition after the repair than it was before. Thank you.
