I have a 2006 Cadillac DTS with approximately 93000 miles. The left sides blinker, yellow one has gone out and I need to replace the bulb. I have had no problems with these things on other vehicles in the past however, I have no idea where to start on this vehicle. Any help is appreciated.

Open the hood and see if you can access it through there. Let me know.

Hello,

You must remove the headlamp lens to replace the turn signal bulb. Here is a guide to show you what you are in for when doing the job with diagrams (below) of what it will be like for your car.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

The left front turning light bulb turned black (blowen out) and is non-functional. Bought a replacement, raised the hood to gain access and was immediately baffled. How in this world are we to gain access to replace this bulb?

It is necessary to remove the front fascia. It is an intelligent design. I have had the luxury of doing about 5 vehicles in the past week, CTS, SRX, and STS are about the same. I think it is becoming standard of the industry and not just GM. Depeding on your relationship with your selling dealer, they may provide goodwill assistance and replace it under warranty. It would be worth asking.

To get the lamp out, the front fascia has to be removed. This is not that complex, it just requires the wheelhouse liners, the lower splash shield, the upper plastic push-pin retainers, and the bolts at the fender to fascia seam(accessed in the wheel wells)

Check your other post. If this is a HID lamp, it may not be just a bulb, you have a ballast to be concerned with. If it is just halogen, disregard.
