2000 Cadillac Deville check engine light

I have a 2000 deville,check engine light wont go off,Took the car to two mechanics.Both said it has random misfires.Valve gaskets was replaced with a tuneup.Engine light flickers on and off now.

Random misfires occurring on various cylinders could be caused by poor/contaminated fuel. If it is specific to a cylinder, it could be a coil pack, spark plug, or injector. Is the engine light flickering, or flashing. A flashing light indicates a catalyst damaging misfire.
