My car was sitting in my garage for over a year, the battery died completely and I replaced it and my wipers stopped working. I tried to change the fuse, the manual says 30a I only had a30 so I tried it with no luck. What should I do that will not cost me an arm and a leg.
Thanks Gabrielle

It all depends on how involved you want to get, and what your diagnostic capabilities are. Do you have a test light? Another thing that will play a part is the fact that there are two types of systems in 98. There is a rain-sensing system, and just a basic pulse delay type system. Is this a base deville, and does the word auto appear on your wiper stalk in the delay area? Also does the washer turn on when requested? I will forward you the diagnostic chart for inop in all modes(pulse system), let me know if it applies, and if you need more info.
