Hey guys, I have a starnge and dangerous problem. First off, my truck is a 1948 Ford F1, but it has a 1964 or 65 Buick 425 and turbo 400 trans, so I figured I should ask this question here. I recently finished rebulding this this truck and took it out for her maiden run, and when I come to a stop, a few seconds will go by then the truck starts lurching forward, and I'm forced to stand on the brakes to keep it from taking off. I dont think this has anything to do with the engine, because I've found that if I put the truck in neutral at a stop, it wont happen, allthough a few times when I did this it jumped forward just by putting it in drive again, then let off. I suspect my torque converter is locking up when it shoudnt, and I was hoping you could tell me if you think that could be it, and how I could fix this. I'm not sure if this trans has the variable pitch stator, but if it does I wonder if that has anything to do with this, as I have no kickdown or any other switch installed from what I can see.
Thanks for the help.
