My gas gauge, my speedometer and temperature gauge are not working. Also, my horn is not working. What could it be?

I would check the fuses in the rear fuse block. It is located under the back seat. See this guide

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

If okay the cluster is bad this video shows the job being done on a similar car but the process is the same.

In particular, I would look at fuse #30. See the attached images for more information below.

My speedometer and tachometer will malfuntion and point in all sorts of different directions and not in alinement with where they are supposed to be. They straighten themselves out after about a week but its in the mean time it's a little hard to figure how fast your going.
Currently the speedometer is pointing straight down and they tach is 500 rpms off. Is this an electrical issue or a mechanical one?

I also own a 2004 Lesabre and am having a very similar problem with the speedometer and gas gauge. The needles are wacky, but the computer appears to be working fine. The odometer, cruise control, and digital readout of fuel remaining appear okay. I'm starting to think this is a recall issue. I sure don't want to spend upwards of $400 to replace the cluster. What to do?

Stepper motors in the clusters cause this problem. It happends on all GM vehicles. Sorry Guys the only way to fix this concern is replacing the cluster. But if you are having a problem with a fuel gauge it could also be a level sensor. Keep that in mind.

Over the past month my speedometer and fuel guage has been malfunctioning also. With three comments in one month this seems more than a random problem. Is Buick helping with the costs.

The instrument panel cluster stopped working. The fuses have all been checked but none of them are bad. Yet nothing works except the temp. Gauge. What could be wrong with the ipc?

On the back of the IPC, is a printed circuit board. There is a large plug that plugs into the back of the board. Either the plug has come partially out, or the board is bad. Hope we were able to help. Mickey-d

Yes I need to know why my instrument panel isnt working.I just installed an aftermarket radio and I had to run an accessory wire to the fuse box. Later on today my gauges just stopped working along with my turn signals. My hazards still work tho. What could be my problem

Make sure you have a good ground to the radio, and trace your wiring job back to the fuse block.
What circuit did you plug your add on wire into?
You more than likely popped a fuse. Either swap you wire to an accessory circuit with a higher rated fuse, or up the fuse that popped by no more than 5amps(5amp to 10amp). You should be OK with that small amp increase. Mickey-d

I have an issue with my instrument cluster. The only needle that works is the tachometer. Other than that nothing else works. Every light is on even though there is nothing wrong with the car. My signal light indicators work. But the speedometer, fuel gauge, and temperature gauge does not. The only way I know how fast I am going is the tiny projector I have in my dashboard that shows my speed on the windshield. But that is only helpful at night because the sun is in my eyes. What could be wrong?

Hello,

It sounds like you have cold solder joint in the cluster and it needs to be rebuilt. Here is a video that will show you what you are in for when doing the job.

https://youtu.be/_HEC44xENxw

Here is what it will be like for your car.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

Hi and thanks for using 2carpros. Com.

Since they all stopped working at the same time, there is a good chance it is a fuse. I have attached a diagnostic flow chart to help locate the problem.

Take a look through it and see if it helps. Also, let me know what you find or if you need help.

Take care,

Joe
