I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am, my left brake light won't light when the brake is pressed. All of my bulbs illuminate when the lights and hazards are on. What could be the problem?

Check the lite blue wire for voltage. That wire carries voltage for left brake lite, use voltage tester. There is a junction at left instrument panel fuse block.

My brake lights do not work. All lights are good, all fuses good. Think it might be the tail light circuit board. Only problem Pontiac no longer makes a replacement part. Can I bypass the circuit board, by straight wiring the lights?

I attached a wiring diagram for you to view.

You need to test for voltage to the stoplight switch and the output as well.

If that is OK, then you need to go to the rear socket and check for power there.

Okay, I attached some rear lens with the circuit boards attached that are used.

Go to car-part. Com and you will see pages of them in your area.

I also attached the brake light switch.

Did you verify no power to the brown wire with the pedal depressed?
