Engine stalling

:( mine is BMW X5, 2001 model, around 37T miles,
I really want to be sure if it is okay to undergo carbon cleaning on the combustion system, it has been a little bit sluggish lately. Can this process of decarbonizing in any way effect my engines performance. Can it breakdown any internal parts of my engine. In any case it can effect, what particular parameter?

At that low of mileage there shouldnt be any significant amount of carbon in the chambers. The chemicals used to do that could take out your oxygen sensor.
