Engine Mechanical problem
1985 BMW 735 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 320000 miles

I have posted this problem before and I forgot to add that I have replaced the fuel preasure regulator and the only way I got it started was to hook the cold start valve directly to the batery and now I can't get it to start at all could this possibly be a bad coil or the cold start valve I also changed my oil and there was fuel in my oil so its either getting to much fuel to burn or the spark is not hot enough to burn the extra fuel can anyone lead me in the right direction

A bad wiring connection in the harness or chafed wires could be the problem. A faulty coolant temp sender can do it too.
