Engine Performance problem
2000 BMW 528 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Car starts. Won't idle then dies. I have to rev engine high. As soon as I let off the gas it dies.

The rubber boot from the throttle body/idle air control possibly has a tear in the accordion section that diverts air to the idle air control motor. It is a common failure.
