PROGRAMMING
SYNCHRONIZING REMOTE CONTROL TRANSMITTERS
NOTE:If vehicle cannot be locked or unlocked, synchronize existing remote control transmitters before diagnosing.

Press any button on remote control transmitter and within 30 seconds lock or unlock driver's door lock. System is now synchronized.

Do the doors lock using the key in the locks ??

Have you tried the synch using the key to lock the door after sing the button on fob ?? if this does not work it needs to plugged into a VAG diagnostic scanner to locate the fault .. there are diffrent test's to perform !

I'm sorry .. my english term's coming out !! .... the "fob" is the device (remote transmitter)that has the buttons on for opening the doors/turning alarm on/off etc.

1) Press any button on the remote transmitter for 2/3 seconds

Within 30 seconds Lock or unlock the drivers door using the key in the lock

I was just making sure all base's were covered ! I have listed the most common faults on C/L system and causes you will need to check these !! of course the fault could be in the control module .. so it really could also do with scanning with a VAG diagnostic scanner !!

DTC 01360: DRIVER'S DOOR SWITCH
NOTE:This DTC is usually stored because of improper use of alarm system. Only carry out repairs if a complaint exists, otherwise just erase DTC. See FUNCTION MODE 05: ERASING DTC MEMORY under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.

Possible Cause
Short to ground in wiring. Faulty driver's side door switch.
Corrective Steps
Repair short to ground in wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Replace driver's side door switch if necessary.
DTC 01361: PASSENGER'S DOOR SWITCH
NOTE:This DTC is usually stored because of improper use of alarm system. Only carry out repairs if a complaint exists, otherwise just erase DTC. See FUNCTION MODE 05: ERASING DTC MEMORY under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.

Possible Cause
Short to ground in wiring. Faulty passenger's side door switch.
Corrective Steps
Repair short to ground in wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Replace passenger's side door switch if necessary.
ENTERING ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION MODES
NOTE:Additional operating instructions can be obtained by pressing HELP key on scan tool. During test procedures, the right arrow key advances program to next step. An incorrect entry can be cancelled with "C" key.

DTC 01367: CENTRAL LOCKING PUMP
Possible Cause
Pressure in air lines too low. Faulty central locking pump.
Corrective Steps
Check air lines for leaks. Check central locking pump. Check all actuating components of central locking system and replace as necessary.

Ensure battery is fully charged, fuses are not blown, and ground connections are okay. Ensure all accessories are off. Using Adapter Cable (VAG 1551/3), connect Scan Tool (VAG 1551) to Data Link Connector (DLC). If V.A.G SELF DIAGNOSIS HELP 1-RAPID DATA TRANSFER 2-BLINK CODE OUTPUT is displayed on scan tool, go to next step. If V.A.G SELF DIAGNOSIS HELP 1-RAPID DATA TRANSFER 2-BLINK CODE OUTPUT is not displayed on scan tool, check battery, fuses, ground and scan tool for proper connections.

I would start at the drivers door switch as this controls all doors ! But I would still expect the other switches to work? You could check power and ground at pump !

For some reason I do not have a wiring diagram for the power door lock's. I will try and locate one and get back to you !
