I recently bought a Seat Toledo SXE 2.0 1998 registration (mark 1L chassis) and was informed of this problem but was told it had happened once in a blue moon and that it had been checked out in a garage but no problem was found.
The problem is the engine dies and then it stalls, this only happens above 50mph and not all the time. It is fine with town driving under 30mph. Also if you have been doing 50mph and above on a long road then come to a junction and stop it quite often cuts out. This problem is intermittant but occurring more and more often.
Please does anyone have any ideas this car is gorgeous to drive when it doesn't do this. It is fine when idling without a blip from the engine.
have the same problem?
