1992 Acura Vigor Two Wheel Drive Automatic 211000 miles
I have a 92 Acura Vigor and have been experiencing starting problems. When I turn the ignition, my dash panel lights turn on as normal however once the ignition is in the start position nothing happens. (Its almost as if your trying to start the car while the shifter is on "drive" the car's safety feature prevents the engine from firing up" Initially, if I just hold the key in the start position I would experience a delay then the car would fire up. Now the symptoms have gotten progressively worse and even holding the key in the start position doesn't work anymore. Seems like a loose connection somewhere. So far I haven't experienced that during a cold start. My mechanic is pretty puzzled at the moment. I've recently already replaced the starter, EFI, and the ignition key switch but my problem still persist. I know my automatic shifter sensor is bad b/c sometimes I have to fiddle w/ the shifter so that the light on my dash panel lights up around the "d4" light. Do you think my problem is some sensor on the shifter?
have the same problem?
