After tightening my battery cables, the battery light and the clock remain on after I turn the car off and remove the key. If I pull back on the windshield wiper arm on the right side of the steering column it seems to interrupt the lights but when I let it go they come back on. How can I find the short and fix this? I recently bought the car and the previous owner said they never had it happen to them. What tools will I need, and what is the easiest way to fix the problem?

Hi jeremyfowler99,

Check all ground circuit between the battery and body/engine. It seems to be bad resulting in current back flow and causing the clock to stay on.
