I have a 1998 Acura Integra 4dr with a 1.8L non-VTec with 120,000 miles and a automatic transmission.
When the car is started a loud buzzing noise is coming from a black box that is mounted right next to the blower fan behind the glove box next to the blower resistors electrical connector.
When I disconnect the electrical connection going to this box the buzzing noise stops. But whether this connector is plugged in or not, the fan will blow but no heat comes out.
What is the purpose of this black box? What could cause the buzzing sound?
