When the temp drops outside, usually below 40, my brake light comes on. Once the car warms up the light goes off. Any idea of what may cause this? Thank you

Check for a dirty ground or corrosion on ground wire. Check battery to body ground as well

This is most likely a dirty clogged screen/filter in the brake master cylinder. It can be removed to prevent this from happening in the future. You should also have your brake fluid flushed every 3 years or 30,000. This problem can be associated with contaminated and dirty.

Brakes problem
1997 Acura CL 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 14544 miles

the abs brake light comes on when I turn on the engine then the self -check system goes through the "checking cycle" the light goes off for 1 minute then it comes back on.

The brake fluid is full in the accumulator and the lines are are free going to the modulator we checked the sensor s on the wheels. They look good. There are 2 sensors on the rear end also that are functioning electrically.

What is my problem? What am I overlooking?

Hi there,
You will have a set fault code in the ECU get a scan and post the code for more assistance, This may be a faulty speed sensor.

For the past week, when I first start the car in the am, the brake light on my dashboard turns on when I step on the gas, and turns off when I step on the brakes!
After 3-5 minutes, when the engine has warmed up, the light turns off completely.

Any thoughts? Think it may be an internal bulb in the dash pane?
