Out of the blue today, my ABS light and emergency brake won't go off. I had my brakes replaced about a month and a half ago, and the brakes when I'm driving seem fine. A couple weeks ago I drove with the emergency brake on for a little over a mile, and the brakes got a funny smell. I asked a mechanic and he said the smell would go away, which it did. There was nothing that happened today that would cause the ABS light & emergency brake to stay on. I re-started the car a couple of times, and they still won't go off. I drove for about 20 minutes with the lights and had no issue. I have checked the brake fluid and it's fine but the lights still won't go off. Any ideas?
