My car doesn't want to start when I put gas in it. What is wrong with it?

My car will start right up in the morning and I can drive it just fine all day long. It only begins to choke and sputter when I put gas in it. The other day I filled it up, but I forgot to turn off the car and everything was fine. But yesterday when I tried to leave it running when I putting gas in it, I heard it bubbling in the gas tank and the car acted as if it wanted to die. I had someone recommend that I leave the gas cap off and see if that would help, but that did not work. Do you have any suggestions on what may be wrong with my car?

Do you
have the same problem?
