After a period of warning showing on the cluster the statement - "Drive to the workshop without changing gear", the car finally stopped to select gear and hence can not be used. Before finally stopped, I used to pull aside for about 1 minute and off the engine after the statement showed up. When I re-started the engine it would work. Now, it can no longer select the gear. When scanned, the fault code read Y3/8n3.

This is a speed sensor malfunction code in the transmission, this should be checked by a dealer or a qualified Benz transmission workshop.
