Relieve the fuel system pressure and disconnect the negative battery cable with a socket wrench.
Access the fuel pump by taking out the rear seat and removing the service hole cover. Unplug the fuel pump's electrical connector and disconnect the hoses from the fuel tank.
Remove the fuel pump using tool while ensuring there is no gap between the tool and the fuel pump cap. You will now be able to remove the fuel pump and gaskets from the fuel tank.
Install the new fuel pump using the items included in the kit, especially the gasket. Align the start positions of the fuel pump cap and retainer and tighten the cap one full turn by hand. Do not use any silicon or glue that will be destroyed from the petrol because you will have problem.

Hello,

You are lucky becasue your car has an access port so you don't need to remove the tank to get the fuel pump out.

Here is a guide that has the tank out but shows you how to get the pump out,

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-replace-an-electric-fuel-pump

Here is a video that shows how to remove those fuel lines. It shows for a ford but the connectors are all the same.

Here is what it will be like on your car

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

Petrol fuel pump does not prime unless hit with mallet in recent sub zero temperatures. Is this due to frozen water in fuel or simply wear in the electric fuel pump. Should I replace fuel pump?
