Electrical problem
2006 Hyundai Elantra 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 61,000 miles

My brake lights just stopped working. They were fine yesterday and not so today. Bulbs are good and the fuses are good since the other elements attached to those fuses (windows) are working.

Any ideas?

There is a brake light switch on the top of the brake pedal. Check to make sure it didn't come loose or is out of adjustment. If all is well, make sure there is power in to it (12 volts) and the same out when you hit the brakes.

Let me know what you find.

I have a 2006 Elantra and my brake lights just went out also. I'll see what I can find out in the morning and let everyone know what the problem
is and how to fix it.
