I was running an amp cable through the firewall on the drivers side. During this I was using a metal coat hanger to poke through the rubber grommet that the wires went through. I think I accidentally sliced into a wire and touched the coat hanger to the hood completely not realizing that I was touching an exposed hot wire. Well there was a spark when I touched the hood. Now when I try to start my car I get nothing when I turn the key. The only thing that powers up is the dinger and the heater blower fan and the interior lights work. What did I do and can I fix it myself.

Repair the wire and check all of your fuses.
