KEYLESS ENTRY FOB HAS STOPPED WORKING; ANY POSSIBLE FIX?

I have a 2005 Subaru Outback L.L. Bean (3.0 H6 + 5 spd. Auto) and recently the keyless entry fob has failed to work; first the lock function stopped working which was fine but now the unlock function has stopped working as well; only the hatch release function is currently working. I have replaced the battery in the fob and checked the door lock fuse but neither changed anything. Just wondering if there is something I have not tried or a component that has failed.

Take the remote to auto zone they have a remote tester on the parts counter. Use it to test for a signal while pressing each button. Thats where I would start. Let me know what you find.
