Car wont start - 2005 Nissan Sentra

My 2005 nissan sentra would not start. So I traced the problem to a dead battery. So I replaced the battery. Now a week later it won't start again. The individual coils read 1.53 ohms, each. There are four of them. All the fuses under the hood and in the passenger compartment are good. Fuel pump is good. I took it out a week ago and checked it. It's still working fine. I have the 1.8 engine. The first time it quit working we had the coldest day of the year. So my six year old battery quit. New battery has been in a week. Last thursday the car started and ran fine. No idiot lights. Friday morning it wont start again. So what's up?

When it would start was the battery ded again?Or would would it crank and not start?

First I can crank the engine from dawn till dusk. The battery has 13.46 volts available.

This sounds like it could be the fuel pump or crankshaft angle sensor. this guide will help us fix the problem.

Engine Mechanical problem
2005 Nissan Sentra Automatic 101000 miles

My 2005 Nissan Sentra has not been driven for almost 3 months. I have started it on occassions and let it run.

Yesterday I went to drive it but the car would not start at all. I replaced the battery and now the car attempts to start but won't turn over.

What do you think my problem is?

If its cranking over and will not start do below

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine atleast 3/16 away from ground-have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, cap and rotor, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it and keep testing

My car doesn't want to start right away every single time I try to turn it on. I had a bad starter and got it changed, but the problem still happened. I changed the battery because the old one died quickly and didn't seem to work anymore. My spark plugs were changed because 2 or 3 were burnt. My oil was pretty dark so I had it changed. I got under the engine and changed the crank shaft position sensor because this guy at autozone told me that much be the problem, but no the problem is still there. When I try to turn on my car it takes 5-10 seconds of cranking to start the first time or it starts on the second try. I've been having this problem since I bought the car. The owner of dealer had the car sitting for a while don't know how long, but other than that the car runs great. Please help and thank you.

Try this. Cycle the key from off to the run position (engine off) and let it sit for 3 seconds and then do it again. The 3rd time, see if the engine starts right away. Let me know what you find.

It starts, but like when I drive for a while and get back in my car and try to turn it on the crank extends and sometimes I have to wait on the second try. Other times it even like I turn the key and it sounds like it's turning on, but it shakes and it feels like it's forcing to start up.

I feel you need to have the fuel pressure checked when it happens. It sounds like it is low, maybe the result of a weak pump.

So Then could it be the fuel pump? Also how long is oil supposed to last? My service check engine light came on and I had my oil changed not so long ago. Almost 1-2 months or less. Now it's empty and I don't know whether to add oil or am I supposed to drain whatever's left then add new oil?

The fuel pump may be going bad. That's why it should be checked. As far as the oil, change it every 3000 miles and change the oil filter at the same time. If the oil is low, add oil until it is at the full mark on the dip stick. If you have exceeded 3000 miles since the last oil change, it should be changed.

My nissan started by by shutting off or did not wanted to start right away I hooked up the scanner reads code p0335 crankshaft position sensor "A"- circuit malfunction I replaced the sensor it runs for a little bit and shuts off again and put the scanner it comes out the same thing why if thats new? What am I doing wrong please help me.

Check voltage between terminal 3 and battery ground, not ground to pcm. This should be 10 volts. Check fuse and ecm relay check connection to cranks sensor.

Hay Thank you vary much but when your saying terminal 3 thats on the connection for the sensor its self and battery ground? Where is or what is pcm. Please be more spacific

I forgot to send pic it is terminal 3 on sensor lead and do not use ground to pcm use engine or battery ground. If it 's not fixed by doing this then have apro look at it as it may need an oscilloscope to place the problem
