We had problems with the car not running right (poor starting, misfiring & stalling).
The problem was diagnosed as a faulty fuel pressure sensor.
We ordered a new Bosch sensor, which was then fitted by our mechanic but we then had problems with the car misfiring & making a clicking noise, especially when applying more power.
The old sensor was put back &, although the car did not run correctly, the noise had, at least, stopped.
We then ordered another Bosch sensor, which was fitted today, & all seemed to be OK until the engine got sufficiently hot & the noise/misfiring began again.
We are now in a situation where we simply do not know what to do. We know the mechanic will blame the part but could it be something else?
If so what?
