We replaced idler pulley and it made the whining.
2005 GMC ENVOY
We replaced idler pulley and it made the whining sound end, however, while idling today, it died. Restarted, but was wandering if it just needed to be ran awhile to get back to the way it was? Thanks.

Unless battery was disconnected, replacing the belt/pulley shouldn't effect the idle. Just my opinion.
