We have a 2005 Ford Freestar van. In early 2010, the van quit on my wife as she was driving, she said it just turned off after going up a small hill. She coasted to a stop, put it in park and it started up again. We chalked it up to bad gas. Now, just a few weeks ago, it did it again. I drove it after and witnessed it also. It seems to just 'cut-out' for a split second, like a hesitation while I was on the highway. It doesn't do it all the time. It didn't stop for me or my mechanic that has looked at it. The mechanic even drove it 40 miles! He put new wires, plugs and fuel filter in. Another friend, that works for a Ford service dept, said it may be the coil? My mechanic checked that and found nothing wrong. The van has 82,000 miles. Any ideas?
have the same problem?
